Forth year begins

ok. so here I am. After passing all my exams (repeats) and surviving my time in Ericsson on work placement, I find myself stressing out after my total of two weeks of a break. The stress being that i am now in 4th year trying to decide what streams i want to do. I have a week and a half to decide, not much is it. not only that, I also have t have my project proposal in on the first week of october. So time to put the thinking cap on. Trying to relate courses to what i would need for the project is hard seeing that i can't decide on it all.

I have only had one idea for a 4th year project but i don't know if there is enough work in it to qualify. The idea came to me when i was complaining about the past years i had in DIT when it came to being organised, in particular, when the lecturers do not turn up to scheduled classes and they do not inform the students sufficently or at all. So my idea was to create a system to amend this, to inform students sufficently to one point of contact. I was thinking along the lines of an organiser that a student logs into, possibly when they log into their email accounts. The application could be presented in the form of a calander where a student could interact with and add notes etc. I could be personalised accordingly to the course and year they are in i.e. the classes they have and it could be populated into the calander appropriate to the correct day.

This is where the application becomes even more practical, when the lecturer is going to miss a class of needs to reschedule something, they could be able to send an alert update to all the students affected through a GUI. the alert could appear on the calender date (along with maybe an email alert?) and the student would be able to clearly see the update when checking their planner in the morning etc. ( another functionality i had in mind would be that an alert would be sent to the contact numbers of the students affected).

So thats all i have for now. Need to do more brainStorming and come up with more ideas. Dame the FYP !!!! GURRRR

This week on Gossip Girl

So after the week of waiting in suspense to find out how exactly S had "murdered" someone, the story turns out that she is not as guilty as what was made out.

Turns out that the guy was a drug addict and just so happened to have had a seizure while he was trying it on with S. But little did she know at the time that G was recording the whole thing.

So now that S has come clean and G can't blackmail her anymore what’s next? G is after S's bf and now has him convinced she is one of the good guys. Has Dan been pushed away by S's lies or is he just been lead astray by G? Either way, we know what going to happen. G will work her magic through the power of illegal substances and maybe will cause a level of disturbance that the young upper east-siders can feast off to make the season finale scandalous !

This weeks gossip

Wasn't this weeks Gossip Girl the most shocking episode yet.
Sabrina's lil bro ... that was just obvious. We knew he was
gay from when he frist was introduced, but who he was with
was a surprise ... too bad for Jenny.

But the biggest bomb of the episode was totally unexpected.
Who would have thought S was capable of such a thing as murder!
Is this what forced her to change her ways and go to bording school
all along? And how much to we really hate G after bringing so much
dirt to the table? And just how long will the "Sarah" charade last?

Birthday girl

So Katie is turning 22 on the 11th of May. Word is she is not too happy about it. But not to worry katie, just because your are 1 year older, doesn't mean your 1 year more mature. Want proof? Anyways, I am off to Wexford on the 18th for the weekend for Martin's birthday.
Can't wait, should be good. The hotel should be very nice too :P 4 star with leasure complex.
Heading to Germany on the 24th until the 27th to visit Aoife and Barry. Can;t wait for that one either, get to go on the super fast train over there haha.

Work is going ok i guess, but been super stressed with all the project work i am getting. Not to mention random people coming to me asking to do other things too. Gurr!!

Guess thats all i have to say for now. Planning on Making changes to the blog over the weekend so stay tuned.

Well, were we all excited about sitting down to watch a brand new episode of Skins on monday night?Did we make it our obligation to makes sure the t.v. remote was handed to you for that one hourof scandal and entertainment? No? well i did. (due to a certain someone hogging the t.v. all the time with their final fantasy addiction, anime watching and Devil May Cry 4 playing, I don't get to watch t.v.) But I got my hour for Skins!!

So, what did you think of the episode anyway? Personally i think the storyline around Tony is great.But for those few that were left unsatisfied by the storyline itself, at least there was a lot ofMitch Hewer (otherwise known as Maxxie Oliver) to be seen and keep you amused. He is hott!!

so who is the idiot giving the lectuers of computer science jobs here because they are being totally over paid. The worst of them, the cream of te crop is our favourite oliver o'connor. by far is the most confused person i have ever met. and now because of him we are all repeating software engineering 3. thank you, I hope you feel proud of yourself idiot.

I used to think that damien burke was a fair person. but he has also faild his students. What do you do when your lecturer is missing for a full week and a few days here and there? We didn't get a sample paper but we did get a study guide. but those that do less work are always rewarded for their hard work.
